105 miles and a tail wind!

We left Skapoosse, Oregon and decided to ride on the Washington side to the Columbia River today. It was breathtaking and beautiful. The first half was a lot of climbing, but the second half of the day just flew by....literally. The wind from the Columbia gorge was very strong. We loved it...especially in the tunnels. Since we made 50 miles in record time, we had a little time to goof around, and we are headed to a further camp ground back in Oregon.

Sounds like a great day of cycling! You need a google map with each post so we can easily track your progress!

I think about you guys everyday... most times it's during an adrenaline rush from doing something exciting. Like changing Erik's diaper or finally getting Robyn to sleep.

I'm so green I'm eco-friendly.

I love you guys. Be safe.

Bill, The team wanted to let you know that you forgot two very important items here (bibles). We will keep them safe until you pick them up. Have a fun and exciting trip! GO Bill and Steph!!

You guys are really close to where I grew up! I used to live in Kalama, WA. Not very far south and a cross the Columbia River from Rainer. And yes....Rainier was definitely named after the RAIN!

This is great. I'd be right there with you guys....if I had the guts, lungs, legs. Keep sending info. You're a blast to follow!

You people are amazing. I enjoy following you. I miss our work outs at the club. I thought about you during my wimpy 30 miler on Saturday. Stay strong

Hope everything is okay with Bill & Stephanie. They left our house at 6 AM on Tuesday July 7th. Their last comments were posted that night. They were headed to Boise, by way of WA hiway 14 and routes east in OR. They should be in Boise by now, and definately should have internet access to update their ride. We're concerned, as Bill was very much into keeping everyone informed of their whereabouts along the way. If you've heard from them since July 7th please add a comment here. Thanks, Kathy Kadera

Kathy, on Friday the 10th, Bill posted the following on Facebook:

"Popped a spoke, but mike and his classic bike shop saved us! in John Day, OR"

Kathy, 2 hours ago on Facebook Bill said:

"William Brodegard is riding across the USA! Now he is in Boise"

No need to worry.

Bill, looks like you're progressing. This is my first check in, but I'm supremely jealous as I expected. I can't wait to see you two in those hot WH jerseys.

Dear Bill:

Sorry I missed saying goodbye. Always enjoyed your insight. Sounds like Adam is looking for someone to endorse. Get the Wild Harvest Shirt out!

Looking forward to seeing more of your trip!

Hey guys-I'm feeling the energy! I love reading your posts--it's as though I too have had a little adventure. Running this morning, I saw a woman on a bike and I yelled to my friend--Hey, there's Steph! So, you're with us even though you're not!
Have fun you two!
